ARCHERY
The 3-D archery parcourse in Windischgarsten presents a good opportunity to express your inner hunting instinct. Anyone who’s got the hang of it after the induction can get started with their quiver and arrows. On two different courses, you can hunt deceptively real-looking foxes, chamois, deer or bears.
TWO TRAILS
The two courses lead through alpine meadows and mixed forests, featuring a variety of 3D targets. The family course takes about one to two hours, covering approximately 850 meters and passing by ten different stations or targets. Various difficulty levels are marked with white, blue, and red indicators. White is suitable for children and beginners, while red is reserved for the pros. The Panorama course offers significantly more with 28 stations, but you should plan for 2 to 4 hours for the adventure. Along the 2.5 kilometers, there is also a refreshment station set up halfway through. Between the stations, take a moment to gaze into the distance and enjoy the beautiful panorama from Wurbauerkogel.
FEELING FOR BOW AND ARROW
Before embarking on one of the two courses, it's advisable to take advantage of the practice opportunities at the base station. Experienced guides provide a professional introduction to ensure safe handling of this hunting weapon. At the base station, guests receive a recurve bow, tab, arm guard, quiver, and arrows. Full concentration and a keen eye are essential to hit the targets successfully. Beginners can refine their technique at the covered practice range, helping them to develop a feel for bow and arrow. Additionally, the base station offers experience stations like blowgun shooting, tomahawk throwing, compound archery, slingshots, and the "Mongolian Rider," where you shoot from a rocking wooden horse. Fun and adventure are guaranteed, especially for children. Once you've mastered the basics, you're ready to take your quiver and bow and head out on one of the courses.
